Fifth-generation wireless (5G) provides a leap forward in speed, capacity and connectivity. Many industries will benefit from 5G technology via wireless networks, delivered to self-driving cars, remote robotic surgery, autonomous weapons, and which promises to change our lives and increase the global economy from now on.

Moreover, with these changes, new business models, products, services, and entire activities will be taking place. The turnaround of 5G is already underway in South Korea and select U.S. cities. The in-progress transformation 5G will drive huge annual sales!

Here are some ways 5G will change the world.

5G will make work-office smarter and fast; Both Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML advances mean less involvement of top workers in tiresome tasks, like cognitive ones as processing and accounting. Yes, ML takes some of the jobs, but, they, by all means, facilitate ours.  Collaboration is the world to describe this sharing our job with smart machines.

So, the individuals who count on higher-cognitive capabilities regarding problem-solving and critical thinking are the workers who will find ML and AI as invaluable support. The tendency will be drifting to exceptional automation of tasks and digital connectivity, driving a new surge of productivity gains for some industries.

The idea of 5G is very appealing to consumers.  Which are its benefits?

·      Better speed than Wi-Fi.

·      Faster data-gathering.

·      Enhance reliability.

·      More cost-effective data plan.

·      Better outdoor and indoor connectivity.

·      Cutback buffering when down streaming videos.

·      Better quality video calls.

Internet of Things (IoT) – Means all the devices linked through the Internet, which its enormous growth is likely to happen as soon as 5G comes online; it's estimated to be 125 billion devices connected by 2030.

5G will be climbing forward in connectivity, spreading the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). It means, making it possible to pull together a considerable amount of data from distant-and-mobile sensors, and then evaluated it in real time everything from autonomous vehicles to smart cities and even home appliances.

Transport and Logistics

The automotive sector is likely to experience some leading changes with the advent of 5G; the reason why the design and building of self-driving cars are on the rise.  So far, we can see test cars on the roads in some cities; however, the commercial introduction of them is still to come.

So, with these 5G autonomous vehicles, it will also set in motion a shipping and logistics transformation of linked-autonomous trucks and "ghost" cargo ships, along with remarkable advancements in Logistics efficiency.

The risk of these changes? Millions of drivers of all kinds around the world could lose their jobs, only if they don’t change their mindset. These changes have to be seen as opportunities to learn, update, and adopt new ML and AI devices at hand to facilitate our work, such as smart glasses, to picture the achievement got by the use of augmented reality to expand traffic flow and productivity. Only then, new styles of jobs would be created everywhere.

In the factory - 5G in your factory will enable augmented reality, autonomous mobility, sensor networks and ML, resulting in extreme automation and remarkable improvements in productivity, using sensors for real-time supervising and data gathering, helping to accelerate and better keep up automation procedures.

How would 5G change Health Care?

In many ways! The rapid advances in data transmission, robotic and AI is changing now the quality of care and the way it is delivered. The speed and connection 5G will bring, could make it possible to count on an automated diagnostic test, partially automated surgeries, to demand a house call or have the possibility to video-link with a list of doctors, self-driving mini-clinic with remote robotics-assisted operations. Those older adults living in rural or under-served communities which are becoming deserted should benefit from 5G capabilities.

5G will also customise data-driven medicine, through wearable technologies which monitor your physical health and the emotional and mental condition too, accomplishing it in real time; for instance, cognitive and behaivoural science testing drivers for mental burnt-out.

Summing up: Given the power of 5G technology, it has also become a significant problem between the U.S. and China., both pushing to lead the arena of the 5G network.

5G could be compared to the revolution experienced by electricity or the steam engine technology, as it will positively impact humankind, enriching our style of life, and the way we communicate.  Change your mindset to take advantage of 5G!
